Gyruss - NES

Gyruss is an NES action game from Ultra Games built around fast space-combat shooting. Set in A.D. 2500, it sends a lone pilot across the solar system against alien Gyrusian forces threatening colonies from Mercury to Pluto.

• Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. Authentic cartridge.
• Space shooter gameplay focuses on dodging enemy attack waves and firing back with Neo-Bomb-Blastic Cannons and Ultra-Lazonic Phasers.
• The conflict centers on the Gyrusians, a war-hungry alien armada led by an immortal version of Genghis Khan.
• The mission structure is framed around freeing planets while pushing through the galaxy toward Earth.
• On-screen action emphasizes score chasing, enemy formations, and rapid-fire arcade-style survival.

The NES release carries the Ultra Games branding, with Gyruss tied to Konami’s early console catalog. Its solar-system route and unusual Genghis Khan villain setup give it a distinct sci-fi hook among NES shooters.
